The avid Opera fan enjoys and revels in the sophistication of the art. Outsiders, though curious, are concerned that the format is too formal and painfully boring. We opened the door to a younger audience at Washington National Opera and let them in on the most sophisticated and phenomenal art of our time. We were careful that our approach did not diminish the integrity of the art for our loyal patrons. Our communications also tapped a corporate audience and served up the opportunity for them to connect with Washington’s most influential lobby, encouraging meaningful financial contributions to the arts.
